It all started on a trip to Seoul with my mother. In a famous art museum, I spotted a vendor with beautiful pressed fern leaves. I was entranced. Something so simple, yet so beautiful. I had to have it for myself!

Along our walks on the Han river, I picked some wildflowers. “You’re so much like me,” my mother said. “I used to pick flowers and press them in between pages of books. Let’s do it together.”

And so, a new medium of art was born for me. Although this took place over a decade ago, I’ve been refining and perfecting the art of pressed and dried flowers to share with the world since.
